Orange Township, MI \u2013 A tragic crash on Wednesday evening claimed the life of a 31-year-old woman and left three others, including a child, injured in a head-on collision south of Ionia.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on M-66 near Grand River Avenue, according to Michigan State Police. Authorities report that a 27-year-old man from Portland, MI, was driving southbound when he crossed into the northbound lane, colliding head-on with a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.<\/p>\n

The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 31-year-old woman from Saranac, MI, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released as of Thursday. She was accompanied by two passengers\u2014 a 32-year-old man and a 2-year-old girl\u2014 both of whom were hospitalized with serious injuries. The child\u2019s condition is not immediately clear.<\/p>\n

The Portland man, who was also injured in the crash, was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.<\/p>\n

Michigan State Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the collision, and anyone with information is urged to contact the MSP Lakeview Post at 989-352-8444.<\/p>\n

This incident is under investigation, and authorities are working to determine the factors that led to the deadly crash.<\/p>\n
