BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. \u2014 A shooting at a mobile home park in Byron Township left one man with life-threatening injuries Sunday evening, authorities report. The incident occurred around 5:40 p.m. at Camelot Manor, located on North Harewood Drive.<\/p>\n

According to the Kent County Sheriff\u2019s Office, multiple calls came in reporting a shooting at the location. Deputies arrived on the scene to find a 36-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance, where he was undergoing surgery for his injuries, which have been described as serious and life-threatening.<\/p>\n

Authorities apprehended the suspect, an 18-year-old man, shortly after he fled the scene. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident, though his identity has not been released. Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances leading to the shooting and have not disclosed the nature of the relationship between the suspect and the victim.<\/p>\n
