QUINCY TOWNSHIP, Mich. \u2014 A Quincy man is dead after suffering a medical emergency while driving over the weekend. Authorities report that the incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. Saturday on Strang Road, just west of Boone Road in Quincy Township.<\/p>\n

According to the Branch County Sheriff\u2019s Office, 75-year-old Willard John McCall was behind the wheel of his vehicle when he is believed to have experienced a medical emergency, causing him to lose control of the car. The vehicle left the roadway and came to a stop in a nearby ditch.<\/p>\n

Emergency responders arrived on the scene and found McCall unresponsive and not breathing. Despite their efforts to assist, he was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

The Sheriff\u2019s Office confirmed that neither drugs nor alcohol were believed to have contributed to the crash. Additionally, McCall was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n

The cause of the medical emergency remains under investigation, but authorities have expressed no suspicion of foul play. The crash serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of medical emergencies and their potential impact while driving.<\/p>\n
