The deputy stopped the vehicle and began interacting with the driver.<\/div>\n<div aria-live=\"assertive\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"sr-only\" aria-live=\"assertive\">According to the sheriff\u2019s office, a dog inside the vehicle suddenly became aggressive. The dog exited the vehicle and lunged at the deputy, biting his uniform and vest. In response to the attack, the deputy discharged his firearm, killing the dog.<\/div>\n<div aria-live=\"assertive\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"sr-only\" aria-live=\"assertive\">Despite the frightening encounter, the deputy was not injured. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and taken into custody on unrelated warrants, the sheriff\u2019s office confirmed.
