PORT SHELDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. \u2014 Three individuals were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Port Sheldon Township, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred around 4:50 p.m. at the intersection of Stanton Street and 146th Avenue, according to a statement from the Ottawa County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

A 32-year-old man from Wyoming, Michigan, was driving northbound on 146th Avenue in a Chevrolet truck when he reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign. As a result, his vehicle collided with a westbound Dodge Ram that had the right of way.<\/p>\n

The driver and passenger of the Dodge Ram, both from Zeeland, were trapped inside their vehicle following the crash. The driver, a 73-year-old man, and his 75-year-old female passenger were both pinned and required extrication. Meanwhile, the 32-year-old man from Wyoming was ejected from his truck upon impact, deputies said.<\/p>\n

All three individuals were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. The Ottawa County Sheriff\u2019s Office has not provided specifics regarding the severity of their injuries at this time.<\/p>\n
