ALLENDALE, Mich. \u2014 Two people were hospitalized Thursday evening following a crash involving a motorcycle and a sedan on 48th Avenue, just north of Pierce Street in Allendale.<\/p>\n

According to the Ottawa County Sheriff\u2019s Office, the incident occurred around 7:20 p.m. when a 20-year-old woman driving a white Volkswagen sedan completed a \u201cMichigan left\u201d turn to head south on 48th Avenue. Shortly after making the turn, the sedan was rear-ended by a black Aprilia motorcycle, operated by a 22-year-old man.<\/p>\n

The impact of the crash threw the motorcyclist from his bike, causing both him and the sedan driver to suffer minor injuries. Deputies reported that emergency responders treated both individuals at the scene before transporting them to a nearby hospital for further care.<\/p>\n

The Ottawa County Sheriff\u2019s Office has initiated an investigation into the cause of the collision. Authorities have not released further details regarding the condition of the individuals involved.<\/p>\n
