GALESBURG, Mich. \u2014 A Galesburg man has been charged in connection with two armed robberies of pizza delivery drivers, authorities announced Thursday. Linsy-Jeremah Gibson, 21, was arrested and charged with two counts of armed robbery following an investigation into the incidents, which occurred earlier this year in Galesburg. His bond has been set at $100,000 cash or surety, and he is scheduled to appear in court on May 7, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

The first robbery took place on January 15, when a Hungry Howie\u2019s delivery driver reported being robbed while making a delivery in Galesburg. The driver initially told deputies that it was unclear whether the suspect had displayed a firearm, but ultimately handed over the pizzas to the suspect before fleeing the scene.<\/p>\n

Sheriff Richard Fuller explained in March that authorities were initially uncertain of the details. \u201cInitially, we weren\u2019t sure if they did or didn\u2019t display a firearm, but ultimately the person turned over their baked goods, their pizzas to the suspect, and the suspect fled,\u201d Fuller said.<\/p>\n

A second robbery occurred on February 26 in the same area. This time, a Pizza King delivery driver was also robbed under similar circumstances. In both cases, the suspects fled the scene after taking the pizzas from the drivers.<\/p>\n

Detectives worked tirelessly, using physical evidence, digital forensics, and witness statements to piece together the incidents. Through their investigation, they identified Gibson as the suspect in both robberies. In a twist, Gibson had also been a victim in a separate crime: he was stabbed in Galesburg on April 3, though authorities did not release the name of a suspect in that incident. It is unclear whether the robberies and the stabbing are connected.<\/p>\n

Gibson is currently being held in jail while awaiting his next court appearance. The Kalamazoo County Sheriff\u2019s Office is encouraging anyone with information related to these crimes to come forward.
