GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Firefighters quickly responded to a fire on the southeast side of Grand Rapids late Tuesday evening. The Grand Rapids Fire Department was called to the scene just after 9:30 p.m. to a home located on Kalamazoo Avenue SE, between Prince Street SE and Watkins Street SE.

Upon arrival, fire crews were seen spraying water on the upper level of the home as they worked to control the blaze.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and authorities are expected to provide more information as they assess the situation.

Firefighters worked diligently to ensure the safety of the residents and to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring properties. The response involved multiple units, and crews remained on the scene for some time to ensure the fire was fully contained.

Residents in the area are urged to stay clear of the scene while authorities continue their work. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
