Shooting in Bedford Township Leaves Man Hospitalized

BEDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man is recovering in the hospital after being found in his vehicle with a gunshot wound early Wednesday morning near Battle Creek.

At approximately 1:00 a.m., Battle Creek police responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Ardmoor Drive near Sunwood Drive in Bedford Township. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 44-year-old Battle Creek man in his vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound to his right thigh as well as a head injury. Emergency medical personnel quickly transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and authorities have yet to release further details about the incident. Investigators from the Battle Creek Police Department are currently looking into the case, working to determine the events leading up to the shooting.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward. Neighbors or witnesses with any knowledge are encouraged to contact the Battle Creek Police Department at 269-781-0911 or Silent Observer at 269-964-3888.
