One Injured in Late-Night Shooting in Grand Rapids

Grand Rapids, Mich. — A person sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a shooting that occurred late Saturday evening in Grand Rapids, police reported.

Officers with the Grand Rapids Police Department responded to the area of Sheldon Avenue SE near MLK Jr Street SE around 11 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, authorities confirmed that one individual had been shot. The victim’s injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, and the circumstances leading to the shooting remain unclear.

The Grand Rapids Police Department continues to investigate the case and urged anyone with information to come forward.
